Rant of the day

I wish to go on a rant.

The students of JNU and the student body president Kanhaiya Kumar deserves every bit of our attention however fleeting it maybe.

I’ve been reading and scrolling down my timeline, my mini consensus has come up with more ‘for’s’ Kanhaiya than ‘against’.
As a bystander in this wave I’ve learnt that (A) There is no proof that the student was pro Afzal Guru’s extremities (B)Afzal Guru is considered a martyr in Kashmir (C)BJP is in alliance with the PDP that declares Afzal Guru is a martyr, don’t be so matlabi Yo! Right one day and wrong the other.

I am an eating, living, breathing citizens of this nation that I hold so dear, coming from a family of army officers, one of whom is a martyr we lost in ill-fated Kashmir.

My support goes out to the martyr’s of our country the real ones the ones staying put in extreme weather of Siachen, the one being armed ready for combat, the students who are armed with their pens and slogans, to say what they have to and are in the right platform and place in life to do so, on your buck or mine.

We do not need a totalitarian government with blinders on, charging towards ‘Make in India’ and ‘Swatch Bharat’. Clean what you can now or forever hold your peace, we can see through your doctored videos, your uninformed rages in speeches and talk.

Get your gear on and go with what the masses need, do not let hatred seep in, its not pro nationalism at all, ‘you know what I mean?’ (Sonam Kapoor style)

Get in line for a debate. If either of you can deter from your extreme right and left ideas then we are winners for having civilised conversations.

I am an arm chair activist who doesn’t wish to remain mum and follow opinionated polls but make informed decisions and stand in solidarity for what is right.

Lets go on a support rant and about time they free Kanhaiya Kumar.
